Book on a Weekday
Moving companies are busiest on weekends and at the end of the month. If your schedule is flexible, booking a Tuesday or Wednesday move can save you real money — and you'll often get more scheduling flexibility too.
Declutter Before You Pack
Every item you don't move is money saved. Go through your home room by room and donate, sell, or toss anything you haven't used in a year. Less stuff = fewer boxes = less time = lower bill.
Pack Yourself
Our team can pack for you, but if you're willing to do it yourself ahead of time, you'll save significantly on labor hours. Just make sure everything is properly boxed and labeled before we arrive.
Disassemble Furniture the Night Before
Bed frames, desks, and large shelving units take time to break down. If you disassemble them the night before your move, we can load them immediately and shave a meaningful chunk off your total time.
Use What You Have for Packing
Before buying boxes, look around your home. Suitcases, laundry baskets, bins, and duffel bags all work great for moving. Towels and linens can wrap fragile items instead of bubble wrap.
Be Ready When We Arrive
Our clock starts when we arrive. If boxes aren't packed, furniture isn't ready, or you're still deciding what goes — that's billable time. Being fully prepared before we show up is one of the easiest ways to keep your bill low.
Choose the Right Crew Size
Bigger isn't always better. A 2-mover team is often the sweet spot for 1–2 bedroom moves. Overstaffing a small job wastes money. We'll help you pick the right crew size during your estimate.
Book Early
Rates can fluctuate during peak season (May–September). Booking early not only secures your preferred date — it locks in your quoted rate before any seasonal adjustments.
